Sara Riaz Khan is an abstract visual artist, educator and author inspired by nature, colour and the human condition. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Oman, Pakistan and the UK; and is currently based in Muscat. Sara enjoys the challenge of expressing universal and personal ideas and emotions through colour, texture and gesture.

A family crisis in 2007 accelerated Sara's journey to abstraction and since then, she has continued to explore this approach. In her role as an educational consultant, Sara has co-authored three teachers' resources, 'Interdisciplinary Thinking for Schools: Ethical Dilemmas MYP 1, 2 & 3' and MYP 4 & 5', as well as '21 Visual Thinking Tools for the Classroom: Developing Real-World Problem Solvers in Grades 5-10' (2024).
